Common questions, direct answers.
If your question isn’t on this list, ask directly. Crown reads every inquiry within two business days and the first conversation is about fit, not a sales pitch.
What does Crown actually do?
Crown Studio Design coordinates interior and exterior home finishes — cabinetry, countertops, flooring, painting, wallcovering, lighting, window treatments, outdoor kitchens, pavers, and windows / doors — under a single contract. Owners don't manage individual trades; we do.
Do I have to use Crown for everything, or can I pick one service?
Either works. Many clients engage Crown for a single service (countertops only, or just window treatments). Others engage for a full kitchen-and-bath remodel or whole-home refresh. The one-contract advantage scales with scope, but the team can also handle a single specialty.
Where do I see materials?
Our Casselberry, Florida showroom — materials, finishes, fixtures, and design vignettes you can see and touch before deciding. Designer consultations are by appointment.
Where in Florida do you serve?
Statewide. Headquartered in Casselberry, with active project coverage across Orlando, Tampa, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, and St. Petersburg.
Are you a general contractor?
Crown is part of the River Business Corp platform, which includes Florida-licensed general contracting through FLPro Builder and Construa. For projects that require GC licensure, the right entity within the platform is engaged — without ever changing the team you've been working with.
How long does a typical project take?
Variable by scope. A countertop replacement is typically 2–3 weeks from contract to install. A full kitchen remodel is 8–16 weeks. A whole-home refresh is 4–9 months. Specific timelines are confirmed before contract.
How is pricing structured?
Most projects are fixed-fee with detailed line-item pricing in the contract. Material allowances are itemized. Change orders are documented in writing with cost and schedule impact before work proceeds.
What about warranty?
Crown provides written warranties on installation work. Manufacturer warranties on products are coordinated and registered as part of project closeout.
Do I need design plans before contacting you?
No. Many clients come in with photos, Pinterest boards, or a vague idea of what they want — that's enough to start. Crown's designers translate it into a workable plan during the consultation process.
How is the showroom different from a big-box store?
Big-box stores carry generic samples and rely on third-party installers you've never met. The showroom carries the actual brands Crown installs, the same designers who will run your project meet you there, and one team is responsible from selection through install.
